In his book titled, Play Thuno, a wordplay on the Greek word for multiply, Pastor Larry Walkemeyer promotes a world-changing game every Christian and church needs to be playing.  He reveals how multiplication is not just one option for the church but is the operating principle for God’s people from Genesis to Revelation.

Last month, we concluded our first national Pastors Learning Community where we read the book Multipliers – Leading Beyond Addition and met together weekly to discuss concepts presented in the book.  We learned that multipliers embrace a new scorecard that prioritizes releasing and sending over accumulating and growing.  Multipliers take their cues from Jesus in Matthew 28:18-20 and seek to be fruitful and multiply.

We recently returned from this year’s Exponential 2025 Global Conference in Orlando, FL where the main purpose was to equip and empower church leaders and movement makers to accelerate the multiplication of healthy, reproducing faith communities.  The big idea for this year’s conference was Good, Great, Greater. Attendees were encouraged to move beyond good to great and even greater things, pushing boundaries and pursuing a greater Kingdom dream. Jesus demonstrated this goal in John 14:12 – “Whoever believes in Me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these”. Jesus wants us to experience the greater things!

My wife, Deana, and I were honored to accompany five of our Central Region church planters to this conference – Amber Blackledge, St. Charles, MO; Kyle and Katie Palmer, Dyersville, IA; and Lauro and Gina Reyna, Urbandale, IA.  Bruce Pfadenhauer, Central Region Executive Director, along with his wife, Robin, also attended this conference along with four Central Region senior pastors – Adam Henaman, Clear Lake, IA; Matt Miller, Waverly, IA;  Randy Richards, Boonville, MO;  and Kevin St. Clair, Bentonville, AR.   It was a great experience and we continue to believe that the Lord wants to multiply disciples, leaders, and churches within our region.

God is calling every believer to get in the game of multiplication.  Are you ready to play? If I can serve you in any way, please contact me at terry@openbiblecentral.org.

Blessings,

Terry Dreyer, Church Multiplication Director, Central Region
