The GATHERING
Our annual gathering of pastors and leaders in Central Region was special in many ways. We gave three RICHEY awards to Dr. Jim Brewer and Pastors Will & Joyce Hunsaker for finishing well, and Pastor Peter Mahoye Shandakwa for a lifetime achievement.
Dr. Mike Hutchings instructed and challenged us to find freedom from trauma in our lives and the lives of those in our ministry and communities. Pastor Mark Hornback, Lead Pastor at First Church in Ottumwa, IA, sent me the following text:

Neth Lo Rasavanh, mother of Mike (Dara) Rasavanh – missionaries for Open Bible to Taiwan and grandmother of Chris (Mone) Cavan – pastor of Lifesong Open Bible Church in Des Moines, IA, passed from this life into her eternal reward on Thursday, September 21, 2023. Services were held on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at First Open Bible in Des Moines, IA. Here is a link to her obituary.
