Youth Leaders’ Retreat
An event focused on preparing youth leaders for the challenges and opportunities of this vital ministry. Full-time youth pastors, bi-vocational, volunteer, and key youth leaders will be joined by guest speakers who specialize in the training and development of those in this very important ministry.
This year we will help you understand and capitalize on your specific strengths to maximize what you are doing and propel your youth ministry forward.
RADIANT Women’s Conference
Ladies from around the region gather for this conference to receive a word from the Lord, worship together, and connect in relationships. The conference occurs on Friday evening and Saturday through noon enabling ladies to close their conference experience with lunch together and an afternoon of shopping.
Open Bible National Convention: Embrace
National Convention this year will be at the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg/Chicago.
We embrace everything that the Holy Spirit desires to do in and through us:
- We turn away from complacency and satisfaction with the status quo.
- We choose to not be content with who we have been.
- We resolve to be the people He has called us to be.
- We receive as a fresh promise from Jesus, “But you will receive power
when the Holy Spirit comes upon you” (Acts 1:8)
We stimulate and release faith to lunge forward, apprehend, and walk in the anointing and power of the Holy Spirit.
Youth Mission Trip
The goal of each youth mission trip is to connect the students with the world around them by providing an opportunity to serve in a very practical way. As a participant, you can expect a safe adventure where you may be asked to step out of your comfort zone to help others hear about the love of Jesus. Your faith will grow and your heart will expand as you learn about another culture. You will be changed by seeing God transform the lives of people.
This year we are taking a team to Cambodia where the need for ministry to the poor, abandoned and outcast is desperately needed.
Camp is a time to stop everything you are doing and spend some quality time with God and your friends. Your regular schedule is set aside and instead, we fill your days with great activities, fun games, high energy worship, and amazing speakers that will challenge you to take the next step toward God. We host this event at Hidden Acres Retreat Center in Dayton, IA.
Open Bible Central Kids’ Camp is designed specifically for children who have completed 2nd through 5th grades. We provide structured activities in a safe environment, giving kids the opportunity for lots of fun. More importantly, we provide opportunities in both large and small group settings for kids to encounter God personally. We host this event at Wildwood Hills Ranch in St. Charles, IA.
The Gathering, formally called our Fall Leaders’ Retreat, has proven to be a highly valued event designed to give you an appointed time and place for interaction, instruction, and inspiration. This year we will gather in Galena, IL. Plan to join us for this two-day, two-night getaway. If you need more time away, we can arrange extra nights on either end of the event.
Breakaway is designed to work in conjunction with Youth Camp. It is half a year away and used as a time to pull middle and high school students out of daily life to focus on their relationship with God. Through powerful worship and dynamic speakers, the services will challenge everyone to pursue God more completely.
We usually take over most of the rooms of a hotel for the event. There are breakout sessions and free time during the days, services in the evening, and late night activities. Oftentimes we complete a service project as a part of the Breakaway experience. This event occurs between Christmas and the New Year.
