Trip Overview:

The mission trip to France will take place in Dijon, where our team will partner with a local church of 300-400 members. Magali Tassone, a member of the pastoral team, provided insight into the city, which has a population of 250,000. The church has a strong young adult presence with around 100 members and operates a Christian school for 20-25 children aged 4-11. Travel logistics include a three-hour train ride from Paris to Dijon, with rental vans available for travel around the city, and trips to smaller church plants. This area is considered to be very safe, with medical centers and even a large hospital nearby.

The mission team, ideally consisting of 21 high school students and 6 adult staff, will engage in various ministry opportunities. Evangelism efforts will include street outreach with skits, songs, dances, and testimonies, as well as distributing flyers to invite people to church events. The team will also work with children at the Christian school, participate in youth group gatherings, and assist with small work projects. On Sunday, July 14th, the team will attend the local church service, where they may have the opportunity to share testimonies. Later in the week, time will be dedicated to VBS, street ministry, and hearing from the French ministry team about their work.

For accommodations, we will stay at a Catholic center outside the city where the church has connections. Meals will be provided here as well. The trip will also feature a fun day which could include: sightseeing at museums and historic landmarks, a city scavenger hunt, and a picnic with swimming at a lake outside the city. Overall, this mission trip will provide students with a mix of ministry, service, and cultural experiences while engaging with the local church and community in meaningful ways!
