This year at Kids Camp, our theme “Jesus Jams” is all about helping students understand that Jesus wants to be part of their everyday lives. He’s not just someone we learn about at church– He wants a real relationship with us! The idea of “jamming” with Jesus is a fun way to show kids that following Him is something we do every day, not just on Sundays.

Throughout the week, students will learn who Jesus is and why they can trust Him. Our goal is to help them move beyond just knowing about Jesus and begin to build a deep and personal relationship with Him. We want them to understand that they can talk to Him, follow Him, and include Him in EVERY part of their lives.

We’ll also teach students what it looks like to live for Jesus in practical ways. This means learning how to worship Him, make good choices, and showing His love in the way that they treat others. Following Jesus isn’t just about what we do at church– it’s about how we live every day!

Finally, we’ll encourage students to be bold in their faith and share Jesus with others. We want them to leave camp knowing they can make a difference right where they are, whether that’s at home, at school, or with friends.

Our prayer is that this week would be more than just a fun experience. We want it to be a starting point for a real and growing relationship with Jesus. Because when Jesus is part of your life, everything changes– life really is better when you jam with Jesus!

What to bring:
Here is a list of items a camper will need to bring or may wish to bring to camp this summer: great attitude, bedding, (pillow and blankets or sleeping bag), toiletries, towels, Bible, pen, swimsuit (one-piece), and clothes that can get dirty at game time. A plastic bag to transport wet or dirty clothes home may be a good idea.

What not to bring:
Phones, laptops, tablets, kindle readers, tobacco, alcohol, vapes, narcotics, pornography, weapons of any kind, fireworks, or other combustible materials. Possession any of these items may result in immediate dismissal from camp.

CAMP RULES/GUIDELINES:

Mobile phone policy
Phones and other electronic devices will not be allowed at camp. All students should leave their phones at home. Central Region will no longer be collecting phones, and storing them while students are at camp. Due to the increase in students at camp, the number of total phones that we are responsible for has grown beyond what we can comfortably manage. If churches feel that students should have their phones during transportation to/from camp– they may collect the phones upon arrival to camp, and store them with one of their camp leaders/chaperones during the week. Group leaders should make their contact information available to parents. Central Region is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged phones.

Dress code
Everyone must wear shoes when walking on the grounds.

Guys – Shirts must be worn at all times, except in the lake. Your shorts need to stay up around your waist. For swimming, guys must wear swim trunks that stay up, no speedos.

Ladies – Your shirt and pants should touch. Your shorts or skirts should be at least mid-thigh. For swimming, ladies must wear modest one-piece suits. If you have a two-piece, you must wear a dark-colored t-shirt over it.

Staying in dorms at night
Our desire is to protect students and provide the safest possible environment. Anyone found outside of their dorm building after hours will immediately forfeit the remainder of his or her camp experience. No warnings. No refunds.

Social skills
Fighting, intimidating, or verbally abusing anyone, camper or staff, is not permitted and may result in the camper losing their privilege of finishing camp. Public displays of affection are not allowed during camp.

Use the brain God gave you
When you make decisions during camp week, use common sense and treat other people the way you would want to be treated. Also, show respect for the campgrounds.
